Resumen

El percloroetileno (PERC) es un disolvente industrial utilizado en limpieza en seco, asociado a riesgos reproductivos y de desarrollo neurológico. A pesar de su potencial de acumulación en la leche materna, su etiquetado actual no incluye la advertencia H362 del Sistema Globalmente Armonizado (SGA). Este artículo analiza los criterios del SGA y la evidencia científica sobre el PERC en la lactancia, destacando su bioacumulación y efectos en descendencia animal. Aunque los datos en humanos son limitados, se identifica la necesidad de adoptar medidas preventivas, promover investigaciones longitudinales y considerar la sustitución del PERC para proteger a poblaciones vulnerables, especialmente mujeres lactantes y niños.
